walkathon “Family walk for life” on 11th, October, 2014.

The Chairman for National Family
Life Programme Rt. Rev. Salesius Mugambi who is also the Bishop of Meru is
expected to flag off the walk at the Holy Family Minor Basilica, Nairobi at
7.00 am and also to celebrate Holy Mass shortly after the walk at 12.00 noon.

Some of the issues to be addressed
at designated stopovers are abortion/contraception, alcoholism and drug abuse,
human trafficking of children, reproductive health and reckless culture of
life.

His Holiness Pope Francis and
the Church insist that life is sacred, should not be taken away but be
protected, hence the call for the walkathon. Furthermore, the World is living
in a culture of death, therefore, it is the duty of the faithful to protect
life.

all to participate voluntarily, sacrifice, cultivate team spirit and face the

O God who were pleased to give us the shining
example of the Holy Family of Nazareth, graciously grant that we may imitate
them in practicing the virtues of family life and in the bonds of charity.
