SOUTH SUDAN: Catholic Bishop Urges Christians to live a Resurrected life

Rt. Rev. Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala, Bishop of Tombura-Yambio Diocese, South Sudan.

The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio Diocese is urging Christians to live a resurrected life. Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala says as Jesus rose from the dead, Christians should emulate him and speak about peace and forgiveness, Anisa Radio reports.

He notes that Christians in South Sudan are faced with many challenges such as death of a partner, parents, marriage problems and many more. The Bishop explains that when these things happen people develop negative attitudes to life.

The Catholic prelate mentions that Jesus’ resurrection should strengthen the faith in Christians and help them overcome these challenges. Bishop Hiiboro adds that when Christians keep living in the past, they block God’s blessings.

Bishop Kussala made these remarks during his homily on Sunday at St Bakhita Parish Yabongo in Yambio.
