ZAMBIA: Youth Leaders in Monze, Zambia, Trained in Christian Leadership
By Monze Diocese Youth Reporter
A two-day leadership training for youths and young adults in Kariba Deanery has emphasized the formation of effective Christian leaders grounded in faith, discipline, and service.
The training addressed key areas, including the fundamentals of leadership, moral values, responsible lifestyle, and Christian leadership inspired by the example of Jesus Christ, particularly His model of servant leadership.
Participants also reflected on challenges facing youth ministry, especially how to guide problematic youths.
Facilitators encouraged leaders to draw inspiration from Saint John Bosco, whose approach combined love, patience, and prevention through what is known as the “Preventive System.”
The sessions highlighted the importance of compassion, integrity, and courage, while also stressing collaboration and synodality in leadership within the Church.
Participants were encouraged to continue developing their leadership skills and to apply the values learned in their respective communities.
The training concluded with a renewed commitment among the youths to serve the Church and society with faith and responsibility.
