The Catechetical School of Lubwe in Mansa Diocese of Zambia has officially opened its second semester with a call for students to live as true witnesses of the Gospel in their daily lives.
The opening ceremony began with an interactive meeting between the students and the Pastoral Director, Fr. Chanda Rodgers, and was followed by a Eucharistic Celebration.
In his homily, Fr. Chanda encouraged the students to be “lights in the world” by touching lives through their words and actions.
He reminded them of their Christian mission to transform lives, bring hope, and journey together in faith.
“Our task is to walk and work for the common good, to serve one another, and to always remain present for those who need us,” he said, stressing unity, service, and commitment as key values in catechetical ministry.
The occasion set a strong and inspiring tone for the new semester, with emphasis on growth, collaboration, and deeper dedication to the work of evangelization.
