ZAMBIA: ZCCB Appreciates Outgoing Executive Director for Communications

The Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has bid farewell to Fr. Winfield Kunda, Executive Director at the National Communications Office and Lumen TV Zambia, along with three other members of the Secretariat.

During the farewell luncheon held at Kapingila House in Lusaka on Monday, March 18th, ZCCB Secretary General, Rev. Fr. Francis Mukosa expressed gratitude to Fr. Kunda and the three other departing Secretariat members on behalf of the Catholic Bishops for their dedicated service to the National Office of the Catholic Church.

The luncheon followed a Thanksgiving Mass held in honor of the four departing members.

Meanwhile, Fr. Arthur Ntembula has been appointed as the new Executive Director at the National Communications Office and Lumen TV Zambia, succeeding Fr. Kunda.

However, Fr. Kunda will remain the Executive Director until April 15th, 2024, when Fr. Ntembula officially assumes the role.

Fr. Ntembula is a priest of the Archdiocese of Lusaka, while Fr. Kunda hails from the Catholic Diocese of Ndola.

Fr. Winfield Kunda joined the Catholic Secretariat in 2014, succeeding Fr. Paul Samasumo PhD, who is currently serving at Vatican Radio in Italy.

The other people that have left the Catholic Secretariat include Sr Audrey Mwale LSMI who has been the Administrative Secretary for the Secretary General’s office, Mr. Isaac Mundiya and Ms. Judith Tembo both of Caritas Zambia.
