Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has extended heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Religious men and women in Zambia for their unwavering contributions to the Local and Universal Church.

In a special message on the World Day for Consecrated Life, Rt. Rev. George Lungu of Chipata, Bishop Director for the Consecrated in Zambia has emphasized the profound impact of their mission, radiating the light of Christ through diverse charisms.

He recognizes the selfless commitment of Consecrated men and women who, by dedicating their lives to Christ, serve the marginalized and spread the Gospel’s message through various ministries such as education, healthcare, and outreach to the peripheries of society.

Encouraging a continued spirit of good works, Bishop Lungu expresses gratitude for the collaboration between Consecrated individuals and the Local Church in Zambia in the mission of Evangelization.

He pledges the Conference’s ongoing support to Consecrated individuals, ensuring strengthened and cordial collaboration in the future.

Each year on 2nd February, the Catholic Church commemorates this day, coinciding with the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, to remind the Consecrated men and women of their call to reflect the light of Christ through lives of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
