The Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam has launched health and life insurance for Christians to secure them with health, medical assistance and hospitalization.

The Most Rev. Jude Thaddeus Ruwa’ichi OFM CaP also launched a book on the program “Good Will, Principles and Guidelines for the Implementation of Health and Life Insurance” that will protect Christian Family including father, mother and children not more than six children under 21 years of age.

Speaking immediately after the launching at the Pugu Pilgrimage Centre in Dar es Salaam, Archbishop Ruwa’ichi requested the believers to take advantage of the opportunity which also offers security and financial assistance to their family members in the case of sudden demise.

“Always a probability of unexpectedly becoming sick and requiring expensive treatments. There is always a slight chance that someone dear to us might be at the mercy of a chronic condition which requires long-term care. Fortunately, there is a health insurance. Health insurance ensures that undergoing long term treatment does not throw a family into dire financial straits,” said Archbishop Ruwa’ichi.

“So, now is the time for every Christian family in our Archdiocese to secure health and life protection through group life insurance which is well coordinated by the Auxiliary Bishop Dar es Salaam Archdiocese Rt. Rev. Henry Mchamungu,” Archbishop Ruwai’chi continued.

The Health and Life Insurance for Christian groups gives members the opportunity to be treated anywhere in private hospitals, districts, regions and referrals across the country.

The Health and Life Insurance for Christian groups has been designed and coordinated by Acclavia Insurance and given a deposit by Sanlam Life Insurance(T) to protect the group member, spouse up to six children in relief plans in the event of a disaster or tragedy.
