ZAMBIA: Ndola Diocese Trains 8 Lay Faithful as Bible Facilitators

By Mwenya Mukuka

With the purpose of decentralising Bible lessons from Diocese to parish level, 8 Christians have graduated in Basic Bible Course in the Catholic Diocese of Ndola.

Outgoing Catholic Diocese of Ndola’s Biblical Manager Fr. Giuseppe Saieva expressed happiness that finally the eight Bible course students managed to graduate after being delayed by Covid-19.

Meanwhile the graduating students say the Bible Course has helped them know more about the Word of God and how to interpret it and emphasized the need for more Christians to continuously increase their understanding of the Bible.

Diocesan Radio Icengelo reports that the eight students drawn from deaneries within the Diocese were awarded certificates in Basic Bible Course at the graduation ceremony held at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Ndola.

And Diocesan Biblical Committee Chairperson Felix Mwanza thanked Fr. Giuseppe for facilitating the Bible Course.

Some of the graduates will become facilitators in their respective deaneries and parishes

The eight join over 40 other Biblical facilitators who have undergone the same course over the last seven years.
