located.

project that the Regional Bishops Conference has thought about for quite some
time.

“If AMECEA
had funds, it would be able to respond to calls where help is needed. Not only
in the region but beyond and abroad,” Cardinal Berhaneyesus said adding that
when there was flooding in Malawi, the secretariat had to appeal to other
conferences to help and more help is still needed in other AMECEA Countries
such as South Sudan where many people are suffering as refugees with all their
hopes destroyed.

“Such a
project if blessed by the Lord can help us in our move of solidarity with the
people not only in AMECEA but also the neighboring countries, the neighboring
conferences and even abroad. So when we hear about earth quake in Nepal and so
on we could respond and offer solidarity,” Cardinal Berhaneyesus who is the

Conference in Nairobi is designed to be a mixed urban development complex
