The Archbishop of Ndola, Most Rev. Benjamin Phiri, on 4th January 2026, celebrated Epiphany Sunday Mass at St. Antonio Fasani Parish in Pamodzi.

The Archbishop reflected on the significance of the Epiphany, urging the faithful to become true light in a dark world. He noted that, despite hearing many sermons, some Christians show little change in their lives, and he emphasized that genuine faith must result in inner conversion.

He encouraged the congregation to move beyond routine religious practices and allow Christ to transform their hearts.

Archbishop Phiri stressed that while people often focus on outward appearance, true beauty comes from within. He called on the faithful to reflect Christ through humility, love, forgiveness, and righteous living.

The Archbishop further highlighted the innocence and purity of children, saying their hearts are often sincere and free, unlike those of adults, which may be burdened by bitterness, grudges, and worldly concerns.

He urged the faithful to forgive one another and make room in their hearts for God.

During the Eucharistic celebration, Archbishop Phiri administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 38 candidates, encouraging them to live their faith courageously and witness Christ in their daily lives.

The Epiphany celebration was marked by prayer, reflection, and renewed commitment, as the faithful were encouraged to rediscover their Christian calling and shine as light in the world.
