Couples for Christ (CFC)-Solwezi, Zambia, recently visited Solwezi Prison, where they donated assorted items to support the women and their children who are currently incarcerated.

During a talk on joy and sorrow, Couples for Christ (CFC) encouraged women to embrace both, citing Jesus Christ’s experiences on earth. The women, seen exchanging hands as they cared for their children, were reminded of their resilience and strength despite their limited freedom.

Chaplain Kwalombota welcomed the 15 members of CFC, and the women inmates sang them a melodious religious song. A talk followed, and the women inmates were reminded that they are loved and cared for.

“My fellow women, when I see you, I see women who are strong and determined; therefore, I earnestly urge you not to view yourselves as condemned people, but as women of strong faith in God who loves everyone”, said CFC member Ms. Judith Chisala.

Speaking on behalf of the fellow inmates, a woman inmate, whose name was withheld for privacy reasons, told with humility, kneeling as a show of respect, and thanked the CFC members for the visit.
