The Catholic Diocese of Ndola has officially launched the Integrated Moral Principles and Church Teachings (IMPACT) forum, to fortify the faith of Catholic youths.

The Local Ordinary of Ndola Diocese Bishop Benjamin Phiri during the Zoom meeting on Tuesday, January 30, emphasized that the IMPACT forum is an interactive platform dedicated to the catechism of the Catholic Church to provide an opportunity for youths to share their common experiences in the context of faith and engage with priests and bishops on various issues affecting them.

His Lordship highlighted the challenges posed by today’s world filled with opposition to Christian values and the prevalence of misleading information, particularly impacting the youths, saying this has moved the Diocese to initiate the IMPACT forum to guide Catholic youths in living exemplary Christian lives and authentically sharing their faith.

Acknowledging that many youths grapple with unanswered questions and some even leave the church, Bishop Phiri stressed that the forum will focus on evangelization to mold stable, focused, and well-informed young individuals.

Quoting the Bible, he emphasized the importance of being rooted in Jesus for a virtuous life.

Bishop Phiri revealed that the IMPACT forum will leverage modern technologies, including the ‘you cut’ platform, which has been underutilized.

He pledged his support for the platform and urged other Shepherds within the church to actively engage and provide answers to the youths participating in the forum.

Bishop Phiri encouraged the promotion of the IMPACT forum as a means to address the challenges faced by Catholic youths in the contemporary world.
