The AMECEA supported Catholic National Communication Performance Assessment Conference has been held in Lusaka with the Zambian Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) Secretary General Fr. Francis Mukosa saying the basis of all communication is the Trinitarian God who communicates as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The ZCCB Secretary General also said God has been in communication with humanity from the beginning as recorded in biblical book of Genesis.

Father Mukosa added that the Church finds a precious aid for spreading the Gospel and promoting Christian ecumenical and interreligious cooperation.

He noted that the media also defends solid principles which are indispensable for building a society which respects the dignity of the human person and its attention to common good.

Speaking when he opened the Catholic national communication performance assessment conference on Thursday 27th April 2023 at Kapingila house, the ZCCB Secretary General noted that the church willingly uses the media to furnish information about herself and to expand the boundary of evangelization, Catechesis and formation.

“The use of the media is answering to the call by Jesus to go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature,” he said.

Fr. Mukosa urged the Church to avail herself of the new resources provided by human exploitation in computer and satellite technology.

Meanwhile AMECEA Communication Coordinator Fr. Andrew Kaufa urged Catholic media workers to produce more Catholic media products for evangelization, underlying that Church communication is about doing the mission which the Risen Christ left to his disciples.
