New bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kahama Rt. Rev Christopher Ndizeye has been consecrated and installed, urged to love equally all the people entrusted to his care.

Speaking during the episcopal ordination, Archbishop of Tabora Archdiocese Most Rev. Paul Ruzoka urged Bishop Ndizeye to realize that episcopacy is a position of service within the Church that requires him to be guided by the spirit of wisdom in loving all believers without discrimination.

On his side the former Bishop of Kahama Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ludovick Minde said that appointment of Bishop Ndizeye is an answer to the prayers of the people of God who for about two years have persisted in the spirit of prayer asking God to provide them with a leader who will be able to take care of them well with love, equality, unity and solidarity.

“God has answered your prayers… I thank you for your patience… I could feel it that these people of God needed a bishop to serve them as a pastor… congratulations; you have found your Bishop. Indeed, God has answered your prayers,” said Bishop Minde who was previously the Bishop of the Diocese before being appointed Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Moshi.

On his part Bishop Ndizeye thanked various groups including the President of the United Republic of Tanzania for accepting the invitation to the extent of giving a representative, bishops including Archbishop Ruzoka who despite being his formator in the seminary, he was also the one who ordained him as a priest, guided him in the retreat now consecrated him.

He also thanked Bishop Minde for the great work he did in Kahama Diocese and explained that the progress he left behind has prepared a good environment for his missionary tasks.

Bishop Ndizeye has been consecrated and installed as Bishop of Kahama Catholic Diocese, on September 4 this year, an event held at the Cathedral of St. Charles Lwanga, led by Archbishop Paul Ruzoka assisted by Bishop Ludovick Minde and Bishop Joseph Mlola of Kigoma Catholic Diocese.
