ETHIOPIA: Catholic Secretariat Celebrates Women’s Day

The Staff of the General Secretariat of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Ethiopia, have on March 10, 2022, celebrated the International Women’s Day at the Secretariat’s Selam multi-purpose Hall.
Also presented on the occasion were invited guests from Government and Non-Government organizations.
The program was organized by the Women and Family Affairs department of the Social and Development Commission of the Ethiopian Catholic Church.
His Rev. Aba Teshome Fikere General Secretary delivered a message based on the theme: “I am the Guardian of my sister“.
He thanked all those who serve women in development activities of the Church.
On his part, Ato Shiferaw Mamo from the Social and Development Commission of the Ethiopian Catholic Church said that the Catholic Church is always at the service of holistic development of women and priorities the protection and safeguarding of the rights of women and children.
The program was organized in collaboration with Misereor and the European Union.
