The ZCCB President added that the Gospel which will be read on Ash Wednesday, outlines what every Christian is supposed to do when embarking on the journey of Lent.
Archbishop Chama reiterated that during this year’s Lenten Season, contributions towards the Lenten Fund will continue. The Catholic Church in Zambia established a Lenten Fund to assist during natural calamities like floods.
“Be ready to make contributions towards the Lenten Fund every Sunday during the Season of Lent,” he said.
Lent is a period of forty days before Easter, which begins on Ash Wednesday and this year it falls on Wednesday next week.
