MALAWI: Archbishop Msusa Urges Parents to Nurture Children to be Evangelisers

The Catholic Bishop of the Archdiocese of Blantyre, Most Rev. Thomas Luke Msusa has urged parent s to nurture children to be evangelisers of the Gospel. Speaking during Eucharist celebration for Holy Childhood on Saturday at Nguludi Parish, Archbishop called on parents to help children understand their role in spreading the Gospel to the ends of the world.

Archbishop Msusa commended the children for understanding their role of being missionaries to fellow children.

He reminded them to show love to their fellow children as Jesus Christ had showed them when he inviting them to come close to Him in Matthew 19:14.

“Parents that have faith in God, must share their faith with their children that they understand their role in the Church. Once that has been done, we are to have a very vibrant Church in future,” said Archbishop Msusa.

The Catholic leader in the Archdiocese of Blantyre further urged Church leaders in all the parishes to include children in activities carried at Parish level.

National Director of Pontifical Missionary Society (PMS) in Malawi, Father Vincent Mwakhwawa commended the Archdiocese of Blantyre for enlightening Children on their role in the Catholic Church.

Father Mwakwawa further applauded the Archdiocese of Blantyre for helping children to deepen their prayer.

Hundrends of children from forty-three parishes under the Archdiocese of Blantyre attended the Holy Childhood Mass celebrated in Chiradzulu District. When the children were leaving Nguludi parish, their take home message was “Be evangelisers to fellow children”
