SOUTH SUDAN: Misereor to Improve Development In Yambio

Members from Misereor Catholic Organization for Development Cooperation arrived in Yambio to evaluate how their partners in different dioceses are progressing and how to improve development activities.

Speaking to Anisa Radio at Yambio airstrip, on Wednesday, Misereor Desk Officer responsible for South Sudan said the Organization is doing development all over the world to strengthen the self-initiative of the poor.

Uve Backmaya, Misereor officer in Nairobi, Kenya, said they are working tirelessly to improve on the projects that Misereor has done in the past in Yambio.

Another member from Germany has appealed to citizens in Yambio and South Sudan at large to work for unity so that the country may prosper.

Misereor members are spending two days in Yambio to follow up on the projects intervention and progress that Misereor has done in the past years.

For the past 50 years, Misereor has been committed to fighting poverty in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
