The faithful<br \/>\ncongregated at Assumption Chapel, and had a 10-15 minutes walk to the<br \/>\nCathedral. <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"yiv8395721770msonormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\nHis<br \/>\nGrace Paolino Lukudu Loro started the liturgy by calling a young boy of 11 years old who is in primary four of<br \/>\nwhy people where there. The boy answered &#8220;because people were praying for<br \/>\npeace&#8221;, His Grace asked but &#8220;why peace&#8221;, the boy said<br \/>\n&#8220;because there was a lot of death in the city of Juba&#8221;. <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"yiv8395721770msonormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cThere<br \/>\nis a lot of death, that is why we are here, praying for peace&#8221; His Grace<br \/>\nsaid. He was moved with tears and the crowd too. \u201cTears because there is no<br \/>\npeace in this Country. We need peace because people are dying even the children<br \/>\nunderstand this,\u201d His Grace emphasized. <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"yiv8395721770msonormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cAs<br \/>\nthere is no peace, we want pardon from God. There is no peace because we are<br \/>\nsinners, because there is no one who is good. We are <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">(Church leaders, Government leaders and Christians)<\/i> a part of why<br \/>\nthere is no peace in the city of Juba and in the whole country. There is no<br \/>\npeace because all of us are sinners,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"yiv8395721770msonormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\nThe<br \/>\nbiblical passage was read from<b> Genesis 4:8-10 (Cain killed his brother Abel<\/b>).<br \/>\nThe Archbishop gave a short reflection on this Scripture, emphasizing the<br \/>\nBrotherhood and the Sisterhood in Christ. \u201cWe are not truthful to ourselves.<br \/>\nWhat is happening among us, is it of people of one country? Where is your<br \/>\nbrother that you killed? I am hearing his blood crying from the ground,\u201d he<br \/>\nasked.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n\u201cWith all these, we are not defeated by war, death, and any misbehavior. Let us<br \/>\ncontinue asking ourselves, where is your brother and where is your sister in<br \/>\nthe city of Juba and the country at large? Through these pains, we are not<br \/>\nheading for death but for better life, for better peace and for better honesty<br \/>\nof this country. For Jesus said He is the Way the Truth and the Life,\u201d he said<br \/>\nadding that \u201cIf there is anyone among us who still want to fight, to kill and<br \/>\nto rob, that person is defeated&#8221;- the people gathered yelled and clapped for<br \/>\nhim. \u201cHope and victory in Christ is what Life is all about,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"yiv8395721770msonormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\nDuring<br \/>\nthat Prayer the South Sudanese flag was adjacent to the altar. There were ten<br \/>\npeople for the Prayer of the faithful representing the ten South Sudan States.<br \/>\nThey prayed for the people of that state, its resources and the peace that<br \/>\ncould reign in that land. After the Prayer of the faithful, these<br \/>\nrepresentatives went to hold the South Sudan flag. After the Prayer of the<br \/>\nfaithful the audience sung the South Sudan National Anthem, while the<br \/>\nrepresentatives were holding together the flag. <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"yiv8395721770msonormal\" style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-align: justify;\">\nPresent<br \/>\nwas also attended by the US Ambassador to South Sudan, Her Excellency, Susan<br \/>\nPage, and Fr.
