Let those who have committed atrocities<br \/>\nadmit it honestly. Admission of guilt is a virtue, not a weakness,\u201d read the<br \/>\nstatement adding that \u201cWe invite the prodigal son to return to the family, the<br \/>\nlost sheep to the fold, the sinner to right behavior,\u201d the Bishops said in<br \/>\ntheir statement.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe Bishops<br \/>\ncriticized the growing tensions in South Sudan\u2019s governing party, the Sudan<br \/>\nPeople\u2019s Liberation Movement, saying these tensions played a \u201csignificant role\u201d<br \/>\nin the violence. \u201cInternal party disputes should not be allowed to destabilize<br \/>\nthe nation,\u201d they said.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThey called<br \/>\nfor better governance and an end to personalized political power which failed<br \/>\nto serve the best interest of South Sudan communities. The Bishops commended repentance<br \/>\nand reconciliation after an outbreak of violence that killed hundreds of<br \/>\npeople.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe Bishops<br \/>\nalso called for development of institutions to serve local communities and uphold<br \/>\nSouth Sudanese values particularly human and religious.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe Catholic<br \/>\nprelates called for an end to corruption that denies services to poor people<br \/>\nand breed hatred and disappointment among the people and institutions in South<br \/>\nSudan.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe Bishops<br \/>\nappealed for a special support to the Diocese of Malakal that was devastated by<br \/>\nthe crisis in mid-December 2013.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThey also<br \/>\nmade an appeal to all humanitarian Aid Agencies to support vulnerable<br \/>\ncommunities in Jonglei, Upper Nile, Unity States, some parts of South Sudan and<br \/>\nSudan.
