\nThe Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC) Director for Pastoral Rt Rev
\nClement Mulenga has asked Christians to respond to Christ\u2019s call of Proclaiming
\nthe Gospel to everyone including the excluded living in the peripherals.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHe spoke this in his homily during the opening of the council of
\nthe Laity in Eastern Africa (COLEA) conference being held in Lusaka at St.
\nMathias Mulumba parish from 16th to 20th February, 2016.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cAt baptism everyone is called to proclaim the good news of Jesus
\nChrist even to the excluded and lepers. Those that are pushed, the tax
\ncollectors of today. It is our duty to rehabilitate them\u201d Bishop Mulenga said.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBishop Mulenga further said that People should not trade violence
\nin homes and communities. \u201cDiscuss everything from the bottom of your hearts.
\nMake sure that whatever you have that is going to help our region comes out so
\nthat wherever we go, it will be easy for us to implement the resolutions we are
\ngoing to come up with during our deliberations. The Lord is always there to
\nguide us, so let us invite the Holy Spirit to be with us so that in our
\ndeliberations, everything goes accordingly,\u201d Bishop Mulenga urged the
\nconference participants.<\/div>\n

\nHe said, \u201cWe are here not just for the sake of personal growth but
\nfor the growth of the entire region and God has blessed us immensely in many
\nways.\u201d<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nSpeaking on the same, ZEC Secretary General Rev. Fr. Cleophas
\nLungu expressed his delight that Zambia was playing such a role of hosting a
\nmeeting of such nature.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe council of the Laity in Eastern Africa conference has
\nattracted more than 30 delegates from Malawi, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, Eritrea,
\nZambia, Uganda, Djibouti and Ethiopia. <\/div>\n
