{"id":8158,"date":"2019-02-15T16:23:12","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T16:23:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/?p=8158"},"modified":"2019-02-15T16:23:12","modified_gmt":"2019-02-15T16:23:12","slug":"malawi-catholic-womens-organization-launches-strategic-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/index.php\/2019\/02\/15\/malawi-catholic-womens-organization-launches-strategic-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"MALAWI: Catholic Women\u2019s Organization Launches Strategic Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Catholic Women\u2019s Organization (CWO) on Saturday launched a five-year strategic plan that seeks members\u2019 commitment towards improving the welfare of the underprivileged and fight the injustices that the poor are facing in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The plan further seeks to enable Catholic women in Malawi to deepen their faith and spiritual knowledge to become missionary disciples of Jesus Christ and stewards of God\u2019s creation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The outgoing CWO Chairperson, Dr. Elizabeth Meke, said in an interview that the Strategic Plan provides direction towards achieving their mission of promoting the presence, participation and co-responsibility\u00a0of Catholic women in the Church and society, in order to enable them fulfill their mission of evangelization and to work for human development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis strategic plan will build our capacity as Catholic women to deal with contemporary challenges we are facing and foster awareness and\u00a0respect\u00a0of cultural\u00a0diversity. They are a well organized lay apostolate group and they reach out to the grassroots level of the Church. I encourage them to be focused and to always seek guidance on how best to implement the new strategic plan,\u201d Said Fr.
