\n Since
\nEthiopia announced the construction of the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in
\nGuba, Benshangul Gumuz Regional State, Ethiopians in all parts of the country
\nand in the Diaspora have been regularly contributing for the success of the
\nproject.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe
\nEthiopian Catholic Church based on the instruction of the Bishop\u2019s Conference of
\nEthiopia has also been doing her part not only financially but also through
\nmotivating the public to take part in the Dam along with other religious denominations.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Diocesan Directors at the Great Renaissance Dam<\/i><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
\nThe
\nEthiopian Catholic Church Diocesan Directors during their 11th
\nlearning alliance visited the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in Guba,
\nBenshangul Gumuz Regional State. According to Rev.Fr.Hagos Hayish, CM, Secretary
\nGeneral of the Ethiopian Catholic Secretariat, the visit has allowed the Directors
\na visual confirmation to what they have been following in the media. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cSeeing
\nfirsthand what is going on here at the construction site would allow us to
\nfurther implement the direction received from the Bishops\u2019 Conference in
\nregards to the Dam and also to inform our faithful about its progress,\u201d Fr.
\nHagos said adding that the directors during their visit made a donation of Birr
\n100,000 to the Dam. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe 11th
\nDiocesan Directors Learning Alliance which was hosted by the Vicariate of
\nNekemtdiscussed among other things the reporting of activities of their various
\ndepartments as the end of the year is approaching. They also deliberated about
\nthe Golden Jubileecelebrations of the establishment of the Ethiopian Catholic
\nBishops\u2019 Conference (ECBC); this was presented by Rev. Fr. HailegabrielMeleku,
\nNational Pastoral Coordinator. Fr. Hailegabriel informed the directors the role
\nof each diocese in the celebration.<\/div>\n

\nThe Golden
\nJubilee of ECBC celebration officially began on 27th April 2014 and
\nwill close on 26th July 2015<\/div>\n
