\nThe Staff from Church in Need, a Germany based
\nPontifical Catholic Agency on 28th November 2014 paid a courtesy
\nvisit to the participants of Conference for the revitalization of the Council
\nof the Laity for Eastern Africa (COLEA), which is currently going on in Dar es
\nsalaam, Tanzania.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe visitors from Germany included Christine du Coudray,
\nTony w. Zender, Adelheid von Gemmingen and Philipp Ozores.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nPresenting her solidarity message to the
\nparticipants Christine Coudray said she was grateful to have a chance to attend
\npart of the conference whose theme is \u201cMarriage and Family Life, the Future of
\nthe Church and Society.\u201d<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nRecalling the extraordinary synod on the family
\nheld in Rome in October this year, Christine applauded the unity of African
\nBishops who came up strongly against same sex marriage. \u201cThis demonstrated the
\nstrength of the Church in Africa,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nChristine also said that she is against new expressions
\nadopted by UN and other international agencies where they have changed some of
\nthe traditional words, like spouses, couples instead of husband and wife; reproduction
\nwhich is basically meant for animals for pro-creation \u2013the right expression for
\nhuman beings. According to her, African societies should decline using these
\nwords for the benefits of the future generation.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nChristine was also grateful for the partnership
\nwhich they have with the Church in Africa. Their visit to some of the dioceses in
\nTanzania demonstrates the strong collaboration that has existed for a long time
\nwith the Church in Africa. <\/p>\n
