\nFour
\nChristian Institutions in Zambia on 28th November, 2014 launched the
\nChristian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG).<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nCCMG is
\nconstituted by four faith based organizations namely; the Council of Churches
\nin Zambia (CCZ), the Evangelical Fellowship in Zambia (EFZ), the Zambia
\nEpiscopal Conference (ZEC) and the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection
\n(JCTR).<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nCCMG will
\nparticularly focus on management of presidential by-election set for 20th
\nJanuary, 2014 following the death of President Michael Sata.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nSpeaking on
\nbehalf of the four Church institutions, ZEC Secretary General Father Cleophas
\nLungu said that CCMG will particularly focus on management of the election
\nresults knowing that this has to date been one of the most contentious areas.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFather Lungu
\nhas also said that CCMG is preparing for a robust Parallel Vote Tabulation
\n(PVT) exercise to be used as a tool for monitoring the integrity of the
\nelection results during and after the counting process of votes.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThis will be
\ndone through the participation of well-trained monitors at the designated
\npolling stations who will be sending official results announced at polling
\nstations to the CCMG results collection Centre.<\/div>\n
