\nDioceses and Congregations that have not yet registered their members to the International Missionary Benefit Society (IMS) have been encouraged to be in solidarity with others in ensuring that their members have adequate care whenever they either fall ill, become incapacitated or old.<\/div>\n

\nthe IMS, East Africa Section Group Managers, Diocesan Finance Administrators
\nand Congregational Bursars on 17th, March, 2016, during a meeting held in Nairobi,
\nthe Chairman of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and IMS
\nManagement Board Rt. Rev. Philip Anyolo said, IMS is a supportive service that
\nshould be embraced by all Bishops and Superiors for medical provision of their
\nmembers.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBishop
\nAnyolo of Homabay added that the IMS is a supportive service meant to help the
\nSuperiors and the Bishops carry out their canonical obligations and in
\nparticular health care of their members where they do not have a social
\nsecurity health fund.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cThis
\nuniquely solidarity enables Missionaries to get medical help wherever they are
\nministering in the World. IMS, in this way, participate in the Healing Ministry
\nof the Church.\u201d He said.<\/div>\n

Bishop
\nAnyolo also reiterated Pope Francis message to IMS members in Rome during the
\ngolden jubilee celebration of the society marked on 13th, May, 2015. The Holy
\nFather encouraged congregations and Dioceses to facilitate their members to
\naccess health care as this promotes dedication to the mission.  <\/p><\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nIMS is a
\nspecial solidarity fund which is created by Dioceses, Institutes of Consecrated
\nLife and Societies of Apostolic Life who come together and pool their resources
\nin order to help those who may fall sick.<\/div>\n
