Rev. Justin Mulenga was consecrated Bishop and installed as Ordinary<br \/>\nof Mpika diocese. <\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\nA great<br \/>\nshout of joy went up from the crowd attended the celebration as the Bishop<br \/>\nelect was consecrated by Most Rev Ignatius Chama, the Archbishop of Kasama and<br \/>\nthe Apostolic Administrator of Mpika; who was the chief consecrator, assisted<br \/>\nby Bishops George Lungu and Patrick Chisanga, O.F.M from Chipata and Mansa<br \/>\nDioceses respectively.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\nSpeaking<br \/>\nduring the Celebrations, Most Rev. Ignatius Chama urged Bishop Mulenga to take<br \/>\nhis assumed role in the Church as that of service to the people of God. \u201cThis<br \/>\ntitle of Bishop you get is that of service and not of honor. As a bishop,<br \/>\nstrive for other people\u2019s benefit rather than load it over them. Rev. Alick Banda who is the<br \/>\nBishop of Ndola Diocese, requested the faithful of Mpika Diocese to receive<br \/>\ntheir new shepherd as a gift from God. &nbsp;\u201cWhat<br \/>\nis needed is that you accept him without making comparisons to others, but<br \/>\nacknowledging his gifts and talents he brings to the diocese of Mpika. He never<br \/>\nchose himself. God chose him and he has come to the diocese as a servant,\u201d<br \/>\nBishop Banda said.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\nSpeaking at the<br \/>\nsame occasion, the Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia and Malawi, H.E. Archbishop Julio<br \/>\nMurati reminded the new consecrated Bishop that the faithful of Mpika diocese anticipate<br \/>\nto work with him as their shepherd.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cI am certain<br \/>\nthat you will find the Priests, the Religious and the Catechists as effective<br \/>\ncollaborators in the preaching of the Good News. These are waiting to be guided<br \/>\nby the Bishop. The elderly people are looking forward to have a word of<br \/>\nconsolation from you.
