\nThe Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of
\nJuba Paulino Lukudu Loro has asked the leadership of the country to bring peace
\nduring this Easter season to the people of South Sudan who are suffering from
\nwar and hunger.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBishop Lukudu said that the celebrations of
\nEaster have a simple message of peace to the people of South Sudan. “If
\nour people are suffering, they are dying, they are suffering of hunger because
\nof you, then our leaders, you must rise from dead and go to peace,” he
\nsaid.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe Archbishop said that the people of South
\nSudan including elderly and young children have been suffering for too long. “Jesus
\ndid not go to Jerusalem simply to suffer and to die, no,” he said.
\n“We were not created to suffer from hunger, to suffer from anything else,
\nand to kill ourselves. No, God did not create us for these. God created us so
\nthat we are saved.”<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe church leader said peace is coming and asked
\nthe South Sudanese to be courageous in their situation. “Today we have not
\nyet seemingly reached the end of the negotiations that is we have not yet
\nachieved peace. We are waiting for it,” he said.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe bishop hoped that with international efforts
\nto help the people of South Sudan there will be peace. He urged the government
\nand opposition to behave honestly in their work to deliver results for the
\npeople of South Sudan.<\/div>\n

\nIn another Easter message, the catholic Bishop
\nof Yei Rt. Rev Erkolano Lodu Tombe has asked the SPLM \u2013in Opposition, leader Dr.
\nRiek Machar Teny to return to Juba for the peace to take effect. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBishop Lodu Tombe was speaking while giving his
\nEaster message at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei on Sunday.<\/div>\n
