Fr. Joseph Healey as the best &#8211; selling author for the year 2015 during the Writers\u2019 conference that will take place in Eldoret, Kenya from 20<sup>th<\/sup> to 22<sup>nd<\/sup> September 2016.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4847\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4847\" style=\"width: 142px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4847\" src=\"http:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Rev.-Joseph-Healey-MM.jpg\" alt=\"Rev. Joseph Healey, MM<\/strong><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The book which gave him an award as the best-selling author is titled <em>\u2018<\/em><em>Building the Church as Family of God: \u00a0Evaluation of Small Christian Communities in Eastern Africa\u2019<\/em><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The book is published by AMECEA Gaba Publications \u2013 CUEA Press, Eldoret; Double Spearhead Nos. 199-200 (Print Version 2012 and 1st Reprint 2014) and that it has 163 pages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fr Healey, a Maryknoll missionary and the First AMECEA Social Communication Secretary will be represented by Fr Patrick Mwania, CSSP, the Dean of the School of Theology, Tangaza University College who will also read \u2018the thank you\u2019 speech on behalf of the\u00a0Eastern Africa Small Christian Communities (SCCs) Training Team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to AMECEA Online News from US, Fr Healey said \u201cThis book is really a tribute to AMECEA and to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amecea.org\/\">AMECEA<\/a>\u00a0Small Christian Communities (SCCs) Key Pastoral Priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fr. Healey is very passionate with Small Christian Communities and he has written extensively articles on small Christian Communities including establishing the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smallchristiancommunities.org\/\">www.smallchristiancommunities.org<\/a> which is also linked to AMECEA website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amecea.org\/\">www.amecea.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently, there are over 180,000 Small Christian Communities in the AMECEA region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u223dEnd\u223d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By AMECEA Correspondent AMECEA Gaba Publications- CUEA Press, will award Rev.
