The Vatican is concerned about peace implementation in the country, says the visiting Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan and Kenya.<\/p>\n

Most Rev. Charles Daniel Balvo told Radio Bakhita in Juba on Tuesday 30th<\/sup> August 2016 that the Holy Father Pope Francis and the Holy See authorities are interested in the peace process in the country.<\/p>\n

He said his visit was to acquaint with the current situation in South Sudan and make some kind of contribution for a way forward to lasting peace.<\/p>\n

H.E. Archbishop Balvo said Vatican is preparing to support the country through the Catholic Church.<\/p>\n

The Papal ambassador was speaking in an exclusive interview with Radio Bakhita on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile the Catholic Bishop of Yei condemned the ongoing crimes in the state including the brutal killing of civilians in the town last week.<\/p>\n

Rt. Rev. Erkolano Lodu Tombe statements followed last week\u2019s slaughter of three members of the same family whose bodies were thrown into Yei River, Radio Easter reports.<\/p>\n

One of the family members is still missing according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Bishop Lodu describes such beheading incidents as \u201cheinous actions and unspeakable crimes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bishop Lodu said that taking away human life is a sin and perpetrators will account for it before God on the judgement day.<\/p>\n

He further said that such incidents are fuelling fleeing of citizens as refugees to neighbouring countries and called on soldiers and armed men to respect the lives of civilians and their property.<\/p>\n

The Bishop Lodu was speaking at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday 26th<\/sup> August, 2016.<\/p>\n
