\nTanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) mourns the passing away of Rt.
\nRev. Matthias Isuja Joseph, Bishop Emeritus of Dodoma. Bishop Isuja passed on
\nat St. Gaspar Referral and Teaching Hospital, a facility run by the Society of
\nthe Precious Blood Catholic Missionaries situated at Itigi town in central
\nTanzania on Tuesday night of this week.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nSending his condolences to the TEC President, Rt Rev. Tarcisius Ngalalekumtwa;
\nThe President of the United Republic of Tanzania His Excellency Dr John Pombe
\nMagufuli said that he has received with great sadness the news about the death
\nof Bishop Mathias Isuja.  <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\u201cBishop
\nEmeritus Mathias Isuja was a true patriot, the lovely person of the people, who
\ndid a great job to build the nation spiritually and physically,\u201d he said adding
\nthat \u201cWe cannot forget his commitment and contribution to the nation in the
\nprovision of education, health and social services especially in the upbringing
\nof the orphans,\u201d he said. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBorn on August 14 1929 he was ordained a Priest of Dodoma on 24th
\nDecember, 1960, appointed Bishop of Dodoma on 26th June 1972 and was
\nordained Bishop on 17th September, 1972.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHe retired as Bishop of Dodoma on 15th January 2005
\nupon reaching the age limit. Bishop Isuja will be buried on 20th
\nApril 2016 in Dodoma<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
