Matthias Isuja Joseph, Bishop Emeritus of Dodoma. Bishop Isuja passed on<br \/>\nat St. Gaspar Referral and Teaching Hospital, a facility run by the Society of<br \/>\nthe Precious Blood Catholic Missionaries situated at Itigi town in central<br \/>\nTanzania on Tuesday night of this week.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\nSending his condolences to the TEC President, Rt Rev. Tarcisius Ngalalekumtwa;<br \/>\nThe President of the United Republic of Tanzania His Excellency Dr John Pombe<br \/>\nMagufuli said that he has received with great sadness the news about the death<br \/>\nof Bishop Mathias Isuja. &nbsp;<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cBishop<br \/>\nEmeritus Mathias Isuja was a true patriot, the lovely person of the people, who<br \/>\ndid a great job to build the nation spiritually and physically,\u201d he said adding<br \/>\nthat \u201cWe cannot forget his commitment and contribution to the nation in the<br \/>\nprovision of education, health and social services especially in the upbringing<br \/>\nof the orphans,\u201d he said. <\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\nBorn on August 14 1929 he was ordained a Priest of Dodoma on 24th<br \/>\nDecember, 1960, appointed Bishop of Dodoma on 26th June 1972 and was<br \/>\nordained Bishop on 17th September, 1972.<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\nHe retired as Bishop of Dodoma on 15th January 2005<br \/>\nupon reaching the age limit.
