{"id":24454,"date":"2026-04-10T22:45:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T19:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/?p=24454"},"modified":"2026-04-10T22:45:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T19:45:14","slug":"amecea-amecea-to-host-workshop-for-clerics-on-the-art-of-servant-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/index.php\/2026\/04\/10\/amecea-amecea-to-host-workshop-for-clerics-on-the-art-of-servant-leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"AMECEA: AMECEA to Host Workshop for Clerics on the Art of Servant Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Sr. Jecinter Antoinette Okoth, FSSA<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To align with the global Synodal call for a more participatory Church, the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA) has organized a workshop for National priests\u2019 leadership from across the region, focused on the transformative power of servant leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop, themed &#8220;Promoting Servant Leadership among the Clergy,&#8221; is scheduled to take place in Kenya\u2019s capital, Nairobi, from 14 -16 April at the Clergy home.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative comes as the region prepares for the upcoming AMECEA Plenary Assembly in July 2026. The assembly will focus on &#8220;Synodal journey with the young people: Building Bridges of Communion, Hope, Justice, and Good Governance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the Secretary General of AMECEA, Fr.
