Citing theologian Pavel Florenskij, Pope Leo XIV noted that spiritual discipline does not simply produce a good person, but a beautiful one, a soul radiating the spiritual light of Christ.

The message, titled The Interior Discovery of God’s Gift, is organized around four interconnected themes: beauty, mutual awareness, trust, and maturation.

As an Augustinian, the Pope drew on the witness of Saint Augustine, who in his Confessions recognized God as more inward than his own innermost self. For Pope Leo XIV, Augustine’s experience demonstrates how cultivating an interior life through prayer, silence, and the sacraments opens the heart to hear and respond to God’s call.

Addressing the young people in his message, the Pope urged them to make time for Eucharistic adoration, meditate on Scripture, and participate actively in the life of the Church.

Through the intimacy of friendship with Christ, he said, “one discovers how to give of oneself fully in whichever path of life God has prepared.”

The Pope directed his message not only to young people but to the whole Church, families, parishes, religious communities, bishops, priests, catechists, and educators, urging all to create the conditions in which vocations can be embraced, nourished, and protected.

This year, World Day of Prayer for Vocations will be on Sunday, April 26.

Sr. Jecinter Antoinette Okoth, FSSA Ahead of the 63rd World Day of Prayer for Vocations,…

[9,20

post-24451","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-amecea-news","category-vatican
["GET
