The initiative aimed to ensure that the upcoming celebrations are marked not by scarcity, but by communal support and dignity.

Addressing the community during the event, Fr. Fisuh, Rector of Don Bosco Adwa, emphasized the spiritual significance of the timing. He reminded those gathered that the approaching feasts are a call to celebrate with compassion and unity.

“This is a time to share,” Fr. Fisuh stated. “We celebrate our faith through our care for those who have the least.”

The Rector also expressed his deep gratitude to the global network of supporters, specifically highlighting the benefactors of Don Bosco Mondo for their unwavering and continued generosity.

This distribution in Adwa follows a critical intervention in North West Tigray just days earlier. Organized by the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul and implemented by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Jeanne Antide Thouret alongside the Salesians of Don Bosco, the project targeted the most fragile segments of society. In this urgent humanitarian effort to combat food insecurity in North West Tigray, the distribution project successfully reached 250 households within Shire Inda-Selassie and its surrounding rural areas. Specifically designed to support internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the region’s most marginalized residents, the mission prioritized aid for female-headed households and individuals battling chronic illnesses. By focusing on these highly vulnerable groups, the collaboration between the Daughters of Charity, the Sisters of Charity, and Don Bosco Shire provided life-saving assistance to those facing the greatest barriers to survival.

Across both Adwa and Shire, the Salesian family continues to be a beacon of hope in a region still recovering from conflict and facing environmental challenges. By combining material aid with the warmth of the Gospel, these Catholic institutions are ensuring that the spirit of Don Bosco remains alive, serving the poorest of the poor with a “heart that sees.”

Habtamu Abrdew Beture In a demonstration of the Salesian mission of “serving with love,” Don…

[9,15

post-24400","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-amecea-news","category-ethiopia
["GET
