Make it while you are here, and remember that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom,” advised Bishop Chaima.

The Church leader also stressed the importance of good behaviour, noting that discipline plays a key role in academic success and personal growth.

“You cannot perform well in any examination if you have bad behaviour. Bad behaviour breeds distraction and affects one’s future,” he said.

He commended both teaching and support staff for their dedication and hard work, which he said is reflected in the school’s impressive performance in Junior Certificate and Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.

The prelate encouraged teachers to remain professional and committed to their calling.

“Take your profession as a vocation and always be mindful of the great responsibility you have, not only to teach, but to form these young people,” Bishop Chaima urged.

The visit began with a celebration of Holy Mass, followed by interactions with students and, later, with staff members.

Zomba Catholic Secondary School currently has 540 learners and 35 teaching staff.
