The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba, Alfred Mateyo Chaima, celebrated the end of the year party with children from Sacred Heart Parish, famously known as Zomba Cathedral, at his residence on Wednesday, December 31.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by the Clergy and children animators from the Parish, the 109 children, enjoyed chatting, dancing, eating and praying with the Bishop during the four-hour event that lasted like few seconds because of the beauty of the event.<\/p>\n

The Bishop reminded the children to share with one another the little things they have so that celebration like that of Christmas should be for every one and not the selected few. Apart from the snacks and luncheon, each child received tablets of soap, note books, pens, cup and container which had minor gifts inside.<\/p>\n

The Local Ordinary reminded the children the need to keep the faith, to value education and to be upright in everything they do. He openly told them that if they are to be reliable citizens and good members of the church then it was a must for them to be entirely good by keeping the three things above.<\/p>\n

Spicing up the event, was the family of Khwesi and Liza Msusa who also shared their joy with the children by giving out special gifts to every child and the animators. It was so encouraging to see their children giving out gifts to fellow children.<\/p>\n

Fr. Raphael Mbendera, the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart, expressed gratitude to the Bishop for this kind gesture which will leave a big impact in the minds of the children as they grow up.\"\"<\/p>\n

Representing all children, Anne Kauwa, coming from St. Paul\u2019s Outstation, said that it was great for her to be part of the event which gave her multiple lessons such as being considerate, ability to share the little things one has, humility and cultivating the culture of celebrating with others.<\/p>\n

The children came from all the corners of Sacred Heart Parish including all the four Out Stations. Sacred Heart is one of the 20 Parishes making Zomba Diocese and has over 10,000 faithful.<\/p>\n
