{"id":14568,"date":"2022-07-08T19:32:57","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T19:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/?p=14568"},"modified":"2022-07-08T19:32:57","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T19:32:57","slug":"malawi-catholic-university-trains-minor-seminaries-on-resource-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/index.php\/2022\/07\/08\/malawi-catholic-university-trains-minor-seminaries-on-resource-management\/","title":{"rendered":"MALAWI: Catholic University Trains Minor Seminaries on Resource Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Luke Bisani<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Catholic University of Malawi through its Faculty of Commerce has this week trained rectors and bursars from the major and minor seminaries in the country on resource management for sustainability of their institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking at the official opening of the training, Vice-Chancellor of the University Rev. Fr. Dr. George Buleya said there is need to have practical knowledge on resources management of the seminaries in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rev.Fr. Buleya advised rectors and bursars from the seminaries to strive on developing seminaries in the country into a self-reliant Catholic Church in Malawi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe need to put our institutions first, we must ask ourselves, \u2018How can I push my institution further before our personal needs?\u2019, said Fr. Buleya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the participants at the training, the Bursar for St Paul\u2019s Minor Seminary Mlale, Fr. Demetria Banda, said the training has been an eye-opener on how seminaries in Malawi can be self-reliant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe training has empowered us with knowledge, the content was very rich. Honestly, we have realized that we were failing to perform because we lacked the knowledge,\u201d said Fr.
