\nThe
\nCatholic Church in Uganda is mourning the death of Bishop Barnabas Harim’imana, the Bishop
\nEmeritus of Kabale Diocese who died on Sunday 3rd Jan 2016 afternoon
\nat Nsambya hospital where he was admitted. 
\nBishop Barnabas R. Halem\u2019imana was laid to rest at Kabale Cathedral on
\nWednesday 6 Jan 2016.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBishop
\nHarim’imana was appointed and consecrated by<\/i>
\nHis Holiness Pope Paul VI at Kololo on 1st August 1969. He was consecrated alongside
\nwith Bishops Albert Edward Baharagate, Sarapio Bwemi Magambo and John Baptist
\nKabubi. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHe
\nwas the first native Residential Bishop for Kabale Diocese to take over from
\nBishop Gervazio Nkalanga (A Bishop from Tanzania who was appointed and sent to establish a new Diocese in
\nKabale in 1966 in Uganda as Apostolic Administrator. Bishop Nkalanga also died  on 18 December 2015.)<\/i><\/b><\/div>\n
