We encourage you to continue to be a pastor with the heart of a good shepherd and a humble servant of the Lord Jesus in Kampala Archdiocese,\u201d reads part of the bishops\u2019 statement signed by SECAM President Philippe Nakellentuba Cardinal Ou\u00e9draogo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Archbishop Ssemogerere was installed the 4<sup>th<\/sup> Archbishop of Kampala Tuesday, January 25, at St. Mary\u2019s\u00a0Lubaga Cathedral, after serving in the Archdiocese as the Apostolic Administrator since April 2021 following the sudden <a href=\"http:\/\/amecea.blogspot.com\/2021\/04\/uganda-archbishop-lwanga-of-ugandas.html\">death<\/a> of Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga who was found dead in the morning of Saturday, April 3, a day after he joined the Uganda Joint Christian Council to commemorate the Way of the Cross.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Addressing the newly installed Archbishop who once served the Archdiocese as Vicar General for nearly 10 years, the bishops said, \u201cYou are not new to Uganda Metropolitan See, and owing to several years of dedicated service to the Church Family of God, in particular and to humanity in general, we are confident that you will perfectly fit in the shoes of your deceased predecessor, Archbishop Cyprian K.
