{"id":13321,"date":"2021-10-01T15:26:17","date_gmt":"2021-10-01T15:26:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/?p=13321"},"modified":"2021-10-01T16:06:52","modified_gmt":"2021-10-01T16:06:52","slug":"malawi-catholic-university-strives-to-maintain-growth-and-excellence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/communications.amecea.org\/index.php\/2021\/10\/01\/malawi-catholic-university-strives-to-maintain-growth-and-excellence\/","title":{"rendered":"MALAWI: Catholic University Strives to Maintain Growth and Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Luke Bisani<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Catholic University of Malawi has disclosed that it will strive to maintain the traditional of excellence that was built over they years in providing quality education in the country and beyond.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking during the 19<sup>th<\/sup> Congregation of the University at its main-campus on Saturday 25<sup>th<\/sup> September 2021, The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Rev. Dr. George Buleya said the University has been challenged with growth that demands good management.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Vice-Chancellor added that the University is cognizant that if growth is not well managed, it can reverse the gains built over the years since establishment in 2004 by the Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fr. Buleya further added that the growth in students\u2019 enrollment, introducing new academic programmes and high growth rate in numbers of students graduating from the University are some of the things that the University strives to maintain in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMost powerful empires in the world have fallen at the weight of poor managed growth. So, we are committed that the tradition of excellence that has been built over the years does not crumble,\u201d said Fr. Rev.
