\nWe, the
\nKenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), wish to join fellow Kenyans in expressing
\nour heartfelt condolences to families and friends who lost their loved ones in
\nthe line of duty, wish quick recovery to those who have been injured and pray
\nfor those who have not been reunited with their families.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWe are in
\nsolidarity with our men and women in uniform who are serving in neighbouring
\nSomalia, and whose selfless service to our Country has seen them pay the
\nultimate price in the line of duty. We assure them our prayers and support.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWe call upon
\nall Kenyans to stand with bereaved families and friends of our fallen heroes
\nduring these difficult moments. Let the blood that our soldiers shed in Somalia
\nbind us together as a Nation, with love, unity and solidarity.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWe continue
\nto pray for our brothers and sisters in Somalia, who for decades have never
\nknown peace that one day peace shall return back to the Country and its people.
\nThe only way to guarantee our Nation\u2019s security is help restore peace in our
\nneighbour\u2019s house. We call upon the international community to work with Kenya
\nto help make this possible as soon as possible.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nDuring this
\ntrying moment in our Nation, we wish to assure the President who is also the
\nCommander in Chief of our Armed forces, our soldiers and all Kenyans, our
\nprayers and support. We humbly urge the Government to continue showing
\nsolidarity and extend its support to the families of our fallen Heroes.<\/div>\n
