\nof Religious Studies, at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), Rev.
\nDr. Joachim Msaki passed away on 31st January 2016 after a short
\nillness in Nairobi, Kenya<\/div>\n
\nreceived from the University, a requiem mass was offered for him on Thursday at
\nthe University\u2019s Main Campus in Langata Nairobi on Wednesday 3rd and
\nattended by CUEA students, staff, friends and alumni. Another Mass is scheduled
\nat the same venue on Sunday 7th at 7.30 am, after which the body
\nwill leave for Moshi, Tanzania his home diocese. Fr. Msaki will be laid to rest
\non Monday 8th February in Moshi.<\/div>\n
\nSeptember 1949, Fr. Msaki was ordained a priest of Moshi Diocese Tanzania on
\n11th June 1978. A doctor of Philosophy in Theology, Fr. Msaki joined CUEA 2009
\nas a visiting Lecturer from Mwenge University College (SAUT Constituent
\nCollege). He was appointed Head of Department of Religious Studies at CUEA in
\nOctober 2010 and in August 2015; he was promoted to the position of a Senior
\nLecturer.<\/div>\n
\ncontributor to the promotion of Christian faith and inter religious dialogue,
\nFr. Msaki has quite a number of publications attributed to him. Among them
\ninclude \u201cThe Poor Ask: Salvation from What?\u201d Pastoral Orientation SERVICE,
