Rt. Rev. Alfred Chaima, the Bishop of the Diocese of Zomba, has urged choir members to find a balance between their prayer life and their musical vocation.
During the conclusion of a training session for choir leaders held this week, Bishop Chaima emphasized the importance of dedicating time to prayer in addition to their role in singing for the Lord at church and during special events.
“As leaders of the choir, you need to encourage your fellow members to remain steadfast in prayer life and to grow in hope, in keeping with the theme of the jubilee,” said Bishop Chaima.
He also reminded the leaders to continue fulfilling the various leadership roles entrusted to them within the Church.
The training session was attended by over 20 participants, aiming to strengthen leadership at different levels within the local church.
Similar trainings have also been held for the Diocesan Laity Council Executive as well as the leadership teams of the Catholic Women’s Association and the Catholic Men’s Association.
