MALAWI: Zomba Diocese Urges Religious Men and Women to Rise and Walk in Hope

Religious men and women in the Diocese of Zomba have been encouraged to “rise and walk in hope” as they serve the communities.
This call to action was made during their joint recollection last week saturday, where facilitator Rev. Fr. Peter Mulomole emphasized the importance of leading Christians on their journey to Christ with hope.
Fr. Mulomole stressed the need for the evangelization agents to be empowered both spiritually and materially. This empowerment will enable them to effectively guide and uplift the people entrusted to them by the Lord.
In his remarks following the recollection, the Bishop of Zomba Diocese Rt. Rev. Alfred Mateyu Chaima, urged all Religious men and women to live and lead by example.
“As we rise and walk, we must remember our role as Religious, guiding our fellow Christians in hope as we all journey back to the Kingdom of God,” said Bishop Chaima.
Bishop Chaima also highlighted the importance of accompanying Christians at various levels: from families and small Christian communities to church movements and groups, all the way up to the parish level.
The one-day recollection took place under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope: Rise and Walk,” inspired by the Scripture from Acts of the Apostles 3:1-10. The event gathered clergy from different congregations within the diocese.
