Fr. Cletus Mwiila, a Missionary of Synodality, has emphasized the need for the Church to actively engage with people in their daily lives rather than waiting for them to come to church.
He described synodality as a transformative journey that allows the Church to read “God’s language in the lived realities” of the people.
He stressed that while external changes are necessary, true joy comes from a deep, spiritual renewal within individuals.
Quoting Pope Francis, Fr. Mwiila said, “Jesus is knocking from within. When He comes out of our souls, He wants us to follow Him.”
He urged Catholics to embrace this new mission without prejudice and to see synodality as an opportunity to experience God’s Kingdom in everyday life.
His message aligns with the Vatican’s ongoing efforts to promote a more inclusive and participatory Church, encouraging believers to actively live out their faith beyond church walls.
