The Association of Members Episcopal Conference of Eastern Africa (AMECEA) and Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA) has successfully finished a team building initiative aimed at fostering unity, strengthening collaboration, and enhancing mission effectiveness between the two teams.

The event held at Enyati Lodge in Tanzania from 12th to 14th 2025, brought about participants from the two organizations.

The engaging activities such as role-playing scenarios, group challenge exercise encouraged the participants to work together and appreciate each other’s strength.

The gathering concluded with a commitment to deepening of partnerships between AMECEA and ACWECA.

Fr. Andrew Kaufa the Coordinator of Social Communication at AMECEA encouraged participants to continue supporting one another as Synodality calls.

“Our journeying together throughout the Synod in Synodality until this implementation phase is in itself a testimony that the clergy and Sisters can work together in the mission of the Lord, plan together and evaluate together. Let us be a prophetic sign in the region that journeying together as the Synod is asking of the Church, is truly possible at all levels in the Church,” said Fr Kaufa

Similarly, Sr Brigita Sambasa the Secretary General of ACWECA pointed out that leadership is not a position, and that the team building experience has reinforced their shared vision.
