ZAMBIA: St Paul Catholic Church in Zambia Consecrated in Grand Ceremony

The Catholic community of St. Paul Church in Kalulushi, Zambia, gathered in large numbers for a special Mass to bless their newly built prayer house and consecrate the altar.
The momentous occasion which happened on 14th February 2025, was presided over by the Archbishop of Ndola Archdiocese, Most Rev. Benjamin Phiri, who was warmly received by the parish priest Rev. Fr. Steve Katebe.
As part of the celebration, Archbishop Phiri also administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to candidates who had completed their spiritual preparation, marking a significant milestone in their faith journey.
In his homily, the archbishop emphasized that the Church is not merely a structure but a living community of believers.
Most Rev. Phiri urged the faithful to embrace true conversion, cautioning against hypocrisy by reminding them that holiness should extend beyond church walls into their daily lives, homes, and workplaces.
The event was marked by vibrant worship, featuring powerful choir singing, traditional dances performed by parish groups, and a spirited march by the youth movement, the Xaverians.
Archbishop Phiri also took a moment to acknowledge and thank all individuals and organizations that contributed to the construction of the church, emphasizing the power of unity and faith in accomplishing such a milestone.
The celebration concluded with expressions of gratitude, joy, and renewed commitment to faith, leaving the St. Paul Catholic community inspired for the future.
