To mark World Radio Day, the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has urged Catholic radio stations to integrate the message of Laudato Si’ into their programming.
World Radio Day which falls on 13th February every year, was celebrated under the theme “Radio and Climate Change.”
Fr. Arthur Ntembula the Communications Executive Director of ZCCB, emphasized that climate change is a pressing reality in Zambia, affecting agriculture, water sources, and power generation.
He called for immediate action to promote responsible environmental stewardship, reforestation, and renewable energy.
Fr. Ntembula urged radio stations to use the platform to inspire action and amplify the voices of vulnerable communities.
He has since called on the government and civil society organizations to collaborate in tackling climate change, stressing that caring for creation is a divine responsibility.
