Mansa Diocese
The Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary in Mansa was filled with joy and devotion as the faithful gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, which also marked the World Day for Consecrated Life.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop Patrick Chisanga, OFM Conv., who reflected on the significance of faith, prayer, and dedication to service.
In his homily, Bishop Chisanga encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in prayer, seeking the Lord’s guidance in their daily lives.
He paid special tribute to the Religious men and women serving in the diocese, urging them to be beacons of hope and morality in society.
Recognizing the vital role of healthcare workers, Bishop Chisanga exhorted them to serve with humility and dedication, without discrimination or favoritism.
He emphasized the need for professionalism and confidentiality, reminding them that their vocation is one of compassion and service to all.
As he marked his 11th anniversary as the shepherd of the Diocese of Mansa, Bishop Chisanga expressed deep gratitude to the clergy, religious, and laity for their unwavering support.
He also acknowledged the contributions of his predecessors, recognizing their efforts in building and strengthening the Church in the region.
The bishop further commended the dedication of consecrated men and women engaged in evangelization, education, and social work, encouraging them to persevere despite challenges.
The celebration was marked by prayers, hymns, and moments of reflection, bringing together priests, religious sisters and brothers, and lay faithful in a spirit of unity and thanksgiving.
As the Diocese of Mansa continues its pastoral mission, Bishop Chisanga’s message of prayer, service, and dedication remains a guiding light for both the faithful and the consecrated.
