MALAWI: CWA Set for Annual General Meeting

The Catholic Women’s Association (CWA) in Malawi will hold its 45th Annual General Meeting from December 18–22, 2024.
The meeting will be held at Chaminade Mission in the Diocese of Karonga under the theme “Nourishing Parenthood, A Joyful Pathway to Happiness and Holiness.”
Speaking to ECM Media, CWA National Chairlady Doreen Banda Zimba said preparations are proceeding smoothly citing subcommittees’ activity.
She said every committee, including those for protocol, liturgy, accommodations, health, and sanitation, among others, are on the ground ensuring that everything is put up ahead of schedule.
Women from every diocese, she added, are dedicated to planning for transportation to take them to the meeting’s venue.
Apart from presentations and other talks, elections for the new office holders who will run the association for the next three years, beginning in January 2025, will be a top priority.
Four Catholic bishops are anticipated to be part of the meeting where they will lead in giving presentations and also leading the Eucharistic Celebrations.
